Position Overview: As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, developing competitive bids, and collaborating with our sales and project management teams to secure successful roofing contracts. Your expertise in estimating, attention to detail, and understanding of roofing systems will be critical in ensuring the profitability and success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, architectural drawings, and other relevant documents to accurately estimate roofing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate closely with the sales and project management teams to understand client needs, project goals, and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Prepare detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns for various roofing systems, considering factors such as materials, labor, equipment, permits, and overhead.
• Research and identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to industry best practices.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy in calculations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather crucial information and insights for preparing accurate estimates.
• Evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop contingency plans.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new roofing technologies, and best practices to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of our bids.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of proven experience in commercial roofing estimation, with a strong understanding of various roofing systems and materials.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel/ Office suite.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
• Proven track record of successfully bidding and securing commercial roofing projects.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to roofing projects.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
