Project Support Specialist Duties

Perform duties of Project Support Specialist in the Construction Branch Resident Office.

Prepare payment estimates, contract modifications, contract accruals, contractor evaluations using the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) interface for modifications as well as database maintenance.

Process Contractor's partial and final payment estimates.

Acquire a thorough knowledge of the contract payment items as set forth in the bid schedules and specifications.

Support formalization of a contract modification on construction contracts; obtain funds validation, prepare forms for Contracting Officer's signature, and enter completed modifications.

Prepare recurring and special reports/updates reflecting the status and progress of various aspects of construction contract operations.

Maintain manual and electronic records and files.

Create and/or update step by step processes and standard operating procedures for contract modifications, closeout, accruals, and other processes.
