Registered Nurse Labor and DeliveryJob Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: Compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: 1st Time Travelers Accepted Epic Experience Required Description: Locals will be considered at the same rate. Will accept 13 or 26-week contracts. Candidates can request up to 2 major holidays off. This unit only requires travelers to work 1 of 3 holidays. Beautiful campus with great camaraderie and staff activities. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor. There are 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms available. Nurses will circulate, assist in OB-GYN, post-op, and pre-op. Special procedures include administration of blood products, cardioversion, and use of warming blankets. Special care is provided for low-risk antepartum and deliveries. The staffing ratio is 1:1 to 3. Travelers may be expected to float to post-partum or other areas based on skill set. Required skills include administration of medications and pain assessment. Candidates must commit to working holidays as specified. References covering the last 3 years are required. Travelers' refusal to float may result in contract termination. Modules must be completed pre-start and annually.
