The Engineering Analytics team builds and optimizes our data workflows and warehousing; and deploys data science and machine learning models to support this complex operation. The team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to take on developing data pipelines, manage data ingestion and cleaning, and support data availability for application development. The Senior Data Engineer, Engineering Analytics will help advance the engineering and maintenance organization through the application of innovative and robust techniques. An appropriate candidate will have technical knowledge of BI systems, big data architecture and technology landscape, API consumption, ETL/ELT orchestration, and business intelligence tools. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years’ experience working as a data engineerProficiency in SQL (CTE, window functions, temporal data)Proficiency in Python and data-focused packages, e.g., Pandas, Numpy, Databricks/Spark, etc.Proficiency with APIsProficiency with software development tools such as Git, IDEs, CI/CDExperience with data warehousing/data modeling conceptsExperience building efficient, ETL/ELT processes using industry leading tools such as SSIS,Informatica, Talend, etc.Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools, e.g. DBT, Airflow, etc.Working knowledge of cloud computing, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCPEmbraces diverse people, thinking and stylesConsistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priorityProven experience leading a project, from requirements gathering to deployment.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
