Software Engineer in Test

Pay: $180,000 - $200,000

Location: NYC (Hybrid, 1-2 days a week in office)

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a QA engineer or similar role
• Experience with trading systems and FIX protocol highly preferred
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix for at least 3 years
• Basic to intermediate skills in C++, Java, and Python
• Knowledge of test management software
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze requirement specifications to develop effective test strategies and plans
• Write, execute, and automate test scenarios; report bugs and collaborate with development teams for reproduction and retesting
• Participate in code reviews and conduct end-to-end integration and implementation testing
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
• Troubleshoot production issues and support deployments, ensuring system integrity and performance
