With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.This opportunity entails being responsible for analyzing the state highway system infrastructure and ordinance restrictions to establish a safe route for the movement of traffic and specialty vehicles. This position assists with inquiries from local state DOT Division and/or District field offices, the trucking industry, law enforcement agencies, other agencies, citizens, and lawyers primarily to provide guidance and interpretation of State General Statutes, State Administrative Code, Federal Bridge Law, and State DOT policies and procedures related to the movement and routing of loads, vehicles, and vehicle combinations that require permits including but not limited to, exceeding statutory limits.What You’ll Do:Evaluates the state highway system infrastructure for proposed routing of specialty vehicles requiring permits such as oversize and/or overweight trucks.Utilizes mapping and other software applications to analyze and evaluate maps, bridge weight, and clearance data.
