Join to apply for the Civil Engineer role at Air Force Civilian Service Base pay range Base pay range $104,436.00/yr - $135,773.00/yr AFCS position overview and duties are to provide facility and infrastructure project planning, program development, engineering design management, construction and service contract execution, and technical support to enable mission readiness at Niagara Falls ARS, Niagara Falls, NY. Duties Performs O&M engineering involving design and construction that encompasses the maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of infrastructure facilities, including utility systems. Plans, programs, budgets, and executes required projects in support of assigned programs; uses cost estimating tools to produce government estimates and compete for funding. Manages projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities; supervises in-house labor or construction contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements. Provides consulting services and project coordination; coordinates with engineers in various disciplines, architects, planners, contracting officers, tenants, and construction agents from private firms and government centers. Collects data and evaluates factors affecting application of civil engineering concepts, methods, and observations. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required. Engineering degree required or registration as a professional engineer (or engineer in training). This is a drug testing designated position with random drug testing. May require driving a motor vehicle; valid driver's license may be required. May act as project liaison with Army Corps of Engineers or other design agencies as required. Must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties; up to 24 months to meet applicable experience, education, and training requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Recruitment knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) Professional knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles, and practices; familiarity with related disciplines and codes. Knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, contracting practices, and environmental requirements. Knowledge of automation, budgeting cycles, and financial management. Ability to plan, conduct, and record site surveys; analyze data and provide timely solutions. Ability to plan and organize work; communicate effectively in writing and orally; coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders.
