Under the administrative direction of Rehab Services and Occupational Medicine, and the direct supervision of the Physical Therapy Supervisor, the Physical Therapist provides care appropriate to the age of children and adolescents (8-18 years); adults (19-60 years); geriatric adults (61 years to the end of life). Provides community education on physical therapy topics, and provides educational information to hospital personnel. The Physical Therapist works with Physical Therapist Assistants and other qualified department staff. These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests.

• Performs physical therapy evaluations
• Plans and implements patient treatments
• Administrative and organizational duties
• Participates in performance improvement
• Participates in departmental administration
• Informs supervisor about significant developments
• Educational responsibilities
• Demonstrates appropriate verbal communication
• Demonstrates appropriate written communication
• Additional responsibilities
