Data Scientist (SQL Developer with Dimensional Modeling expertise

Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with strong Power BI skills to join our team. This role combines database management and reporting expertise, requiring you to design, develop, and optimize SQL queries while creating visually compelling dashboards in Power BI. The ideal candidate has a passion for data and enjoys transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with strong Power BI skills to join our team. This role combines database management and reporting expertise, requiring you to design, develop, and optimize SQL queries while creating visually compelling dashboards in Power BI. The ideal candidate has a passion for data and enjoys transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, ensuring clarity and usability for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient SQL queries and Power BI solutions.
- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to prepare data for reporting and analysis.
- Create robust data models in Power BI, using DAX and Power Query (M Code) for advanced analytics and calculations.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards by conducting thorough testing and validation.
- Monitor and improve query performance and database efficiency, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Provide ongoing support and training for Power BI users to empower self-service reporting.
- Document data pipelines, queries, and reporting processes to ensure clarity and maintainability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Must have financial client experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer, with demonstrated expertise in database design, development, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and DAX formulas.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL Server, with experience in data extraction and transformation.
- Familiarity with Power Query for data preparation and transformation tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
