Business Adjunct

Job Description Brightpoint Community College is a two‑year public institution located in the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. The college serves students at its Chester and Midlothian campuses, online, and across its region. The mission is to provide quality educational opportunities that inspire student success and community vitality. General Information Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester. These limits are for the total number of credit hours taught in the Virginia’s Community Colleges (VCCS). Additional restrictions may apply depending on other positions occupied within VCCS. Responsibilities Provide traditional delivery instruction (not virtual) on either the Chester or Midlothian campus. Teach courses in Finance or Marketing, if accredited to teach. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting the agency or state government during an emergency declaration by the Governor. Required Qualifications Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the specific discipline. Work experience in the subject matter. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Successful completion of a criminal background check. Additional Considerations Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
