Software Developer 2Team: Energy & Logistics Scrum Team, Application Development Services (ADS)Location: La Crosse Support Center (Onsite)Job Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleAs a Software Developer 2 on the Energy & Logistics Scrum Team, you will design, develop, and support software solutions that enable key business operations across Kwik Trip's energy and logistics platforms. This role partners closely with Scrum team members, business stakeholders, and IT leadership to deliver reliable, scalable applications while supporting ongoing enhancements and system maintenance.What You'll DoAnalyze business and end-user requirements to design and implement effective software solutionsShare programming and analyst expertise, guiding the team in adopting new technologiesRecommend development tools, advanced technologies, and industry best practicesAnalyze business needs, develop specifications, and design, write, test, and implement software solutionsDocument technical specifications, user guides, and training materialsDevelop logical programs with normalized database design and user-friendly interfacesPerform thorough unit, system, and integration testingDesign and implement new CI/CD workflows tailored to project needsMaintain and support applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancementsParticipate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call supportCoordinate and manage medium to large projects throughout the project lifecycleWhat We're Looking For (Required)Associate degree in Software Development or related field2 to 4 years of application programming experience, including system analysis and working with users to define requirementsKnowledge of database design, application architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patternsStrong proficiency with C#,.NET, SQL and PHPExperience building user interfaces using Blazor or a similar component-based front-end frameworkSolid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience developing and consuming REST APIs using JSONFamiliarity with application-level observability, including health check endpointsExperience authoring unit tests and integration testsHands-on experience developing and deploying applications in Microsoft AzurePractical experience with Git and CI/CD workflows (build, test, deploy automation)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or an equivalent toolStrong understanding of modern SDLC practices (agile development, code reviews, branching strategies, version control workflows)Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentEven Better If You Have (Preferred)Strong business orientation and understanding of key business operationsExperience with project management concepts and web technologiesExperience building Progressive Web Apps (PWA)Experience with additional programming languages or legacy technologies such as PHP, Java, XML, SOAP, Stored Procedures, or FTPExperience designing or building Azure-native solutions, such as Azure Functions, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, or Event GridExperience designing or maintaining advanced CI/CD pipelinesExperience with environment provisioning, monitoring, infrastructure automation, or cloud optimization practicesProficiency in Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Project)Work Schedule:Full-time, Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
