Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Shift: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM, 2 out of 3 weekends. Block scheduling available.

Assignment Details:

• Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 12 weeks

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state
• Bachelors degree (B.S.N.), Associates degree (A.D.N.), or Diploma from an accredited college of nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP certification (for RNs assigned to the Obstetrics Department)
• Must have Labor and Delivery experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage, organize, and administer nursing care to patients of all ages under physician supervision.
• Assess patient needs regarding their physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual requirements.
• Report and document observed symptoms, reactions, and changes in patient conditions.
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications using standard safety protocols.
• Provide educational information to patients and families based on their specific needs.
• Create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Organize and prioritize assignments to ensure optimal patient care.

• Maintains confidentiality of patient and employee information.
