Payroll Administrator
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator for a temporary opportunity with our client in the West Chester, Ohio area. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and employee support. This is a 1st shift temporary assignment offering competitive pay and the opportunity to work with a valued employer.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Review and verify employee timecards, attendance records, and payroll data
- Maintain payroll records and employee information within payroll systems
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Process garnishments, tax withholdings, direct deposits, and other payroll adjustments
- Reconcile payroll reports and identify discrepancies for correction
- Partner with Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy
- Assist with payroll audits and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous payroll administration experience required
- Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience using payroll software and HRIS systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently
