Clinical Liaison

Overview Marketing Clinical Liaison – Full-time Midlands Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Elgin, South Carolina serves the greater Columbia area with high-quality inpatient rehabilitative care. We provide specialized rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and other debilitating conditions. Our passionate team of rehabilitation physicians, nurses, and therapists works together to deliver individualized treatment plans – including intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy – to help patients rebuild strength and independence. In our nurturing, state‑of‑the‑art facility, patients benefit from the latest rehab technologies and a supportive atmosphere. Joint Commission‑accredited and part of an award‑winning network, Midlands Regional Rehabilitation Hospital takes pride in helping patients achieve meaningful recovery close to home. Situated in Elgin, South Carolina, you’ll enjoy small‑town living with quick access to the city of Columbia, giving you the best of both worlds. Elgin is known for its tight‑knit community, scenic countryside, and family‑friendly atmosphere. As a liaison, you will be responsible for evaluating patients and determining if they meet admissions criteria in addition to preparing strategic development plans, conducting marketing calls, and presenting the benefits of rehabilitation to potential referral sources. What you bring Licensed as a Nurse, RN, LVN/LPN, PT, OT, or RT preferred. Experience working in the medical environment promoting programs, services. Ability to build strong relationships in an assigned territory utilizing clinical and selling skills. Passionate patient advocate assisting in the referral to admission process. Strong clinical skill set with a mindset for business development. Required Skills Current, valid, and active driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, and clean driving record required. 3 years healthcare experience preferred; healthcare sales experience preferred. Current, valid, and active clinical licensure required (RN, LVN/LPN, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Respiratory Therapist). Additional Qualifications / Skills Ability to travel in regional area on a regular basis. Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures. Demonstrates an understanding of patient mix, regulatory requirements, reimbursements, etc., that impact overall hospital operations. Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management. Effective organizational and time management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain quality and safety standards. Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality. Ability to work closely and professionally with others. Responsibilities Responsible for evaluating patients and determining if they meet admissions criteria. Prepares development plans, conducts calls, and presents to potential referral sources. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
