As a key driver of hospital admissions, our team plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to every patient we serve.How you'll contributeA Med Surg RN who excels in this role:Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.Maintains regular and reliable attendance.Performs other duties as assigned.Why join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Additional requirements include:Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.Licenses: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.Education: Associate's degree required.
