Staff AccountantWe are looking for a skilled accounting assistant to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner as well as other accounting support tasks. We are a multi-company/multi-state management company and are looking forward to hearing from you! Salary is based on experience and training.ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and proceduresPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' dataPrepare bills, invoices and bank depositsReconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly postedVerify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issuesFacilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clientsGenerate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable statusBank reconciliationsAssist with sales & use taxes, property taxes, and payroll taxesAssisting with Payroll processingSkillsProven working experience as accounts payable clerk (or accounts receivable clerk)Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareProficiency in English and in MS OfficeCustomer service orientation and negotiation skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailPayroll processing using QuickbooksQualificationsAssociate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required (Bachelor's degree preferred)Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with increasing levels of responsibilityQuickbooks experience a plusProficiency in accounting software and MS ExcelExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWork Schedule8 hour shiftMonday to FridayDay shiftBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceDisability insurance401(k)401(k) matchingPaid time off
