Position Overview

Our organization is looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our well-established team. This role involves delivering prenatal and postpartum care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather comprehensive patient histories, conduct thorough physical examinations, identify issues, document findings, and develop care plans for OB/GYN patients.

• Initiate diagnostic procedures, order and interpret laboratory tests, radiological studies, fetal heart rate tracings, and other relevant diagnostics for OB/GYN care.

• Provide counseling and education to OB/GYN patients.

• Prescribe medications and controlled substances in accordance with state laws and therapeutic plans for OB/GYN patients.

• Document all aspects of patient visits, including date of service, chief complaint, history, social and family history, office course, diagnosis, therapeutic plan, medications administered, medication reconciliation, and physical examinations, including pelvic and cervical exams. Record the supervising physician's name for each visit.

• Order and administer injections and intravenous medications as needed for OB/GYN patient care.

• Collect diagnostic fluids, including blood, urine, sputum, and exudates.

• Interpret Non-Stress Test results for OB/GYN patients.

• Assist and triage patients who contact us with concerns or issues.

• Screen for postpartum depression in OB/GYN patients.

• Participate in the day/night, weekday/weekend call rotation at the affiliated hospital under the guidance of a collaborating physician.

• Attend to uncomplicated vaginal deliveries.

• Assist in C-sections.

• Engage in antepartum and postpartum patient care.

• Be on call for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies in the ER.

Compensation Range: $118,000 - $140,000

This compensation range is based on industry standards, and salary decisions will consider various factors, including years of experience, individual performance, quality measures, and job location.
