Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric Med/Surg
Pay Rate: $50–$55/hour
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN
Location: Dayton, OH

Position Overview

Alliance Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Pediatrics to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute-care hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent acute pediatric nursing experience and 1 year of Epic EMR experience . The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a Med/Surg setting.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of pediatric patients and monitor changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, treatments, and other therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, intake/output, and other clinical indicators.
• Recognize and promptly respond to changes in a pediatric patient's condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR .
• Collaborate with physicians, pediatric specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide age-appropriate education and emotional support to pediatric patients and their families.
• Assist with procedures and diagnostic testing as needed.
• Maintain infection-control, patient-safety, and medication-safety standards.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and provide families with appropriate discharge instructions.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute pediatric nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience.
• Current BLS certification .
• PALS certification preferred/required based on facility requirements.
• Strong pediatric assessment and clinical judgment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care hospital environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Acute-care pediatric nursing
• Pediatric hospital experience
• Pediatric step-down or progressive-care experience
• Pediatric emergency or procedural care
• Experience caring for patients with complex medical conditions
• Experience working with pediatric patients and their families

Compensation

$50–$55 per hour

Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and facility requirements.
