Job Title

ED Boarder – Nights or Day/Night Rotation (Registered Nurse)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Schedule – Day/Night Rotation (4 weeks of each) or Straight Nights | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to ED boarder patients awaiting inpatient placement
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate safe transitions
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff throughout the shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts or straight nights as assigned
• Availability for every other weekend and every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for ED boarder or overflow patients
• Familiarity with acute care workflows and high-acuity patient populations
• ACLS certification
