Senior HVAC Service Technician / Field Installation Project ManagerElmar Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician / Field Installation Project Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid leadership role is designed for a highly skilled technician who can perform some advanced residential HVAC diagnostics and service work while also supporting field installation operations through technical leadership, coordination, and project oversight. This individual will work closely with the Branch Manager and collaborate directly with both service and installation technicians to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver, organized communicator, and team-oriented leader with extensive HVAC technical experience.Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.$5,000 Sign-On Bonus. Paid up front upon hire. Subject to repayment if employment ends before completing one year of employment.Senior HVAC Service Technician Duties:Diagnose and repair advanced residential HVAC systems including ductless, heat pump, and conventional systems.Perform complex troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical service issues.Deliver exceptional customer service during in-home visits.Ensure all service work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and local codes.Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior service technicians.Document service findings, recommendations, and completed work accurately.Maintain service vehicle inventory and ensure proper use of company tools and equipment.Field Installation Project Management Duties:Support installation teams with technical troubleshooting and field guidance.Coordinate materials, equipment, and job readiness for installation projects.Assist with scheduling and workflow coordination to keep projects on track.Communicate with the Branch Manager regarding project progress, field challenges, and staffing needs.Conduct job site visits to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to company standards.Work collaboratively with installation technicians to improve efficiency and project execution.Help resolve installation issues in real time to minimize delays and callbacks.Maintain communication between office staff, field teams, and management.Minimum 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.Experience with residential installation projects and field coordination preferred.EPA Certification required.Valid driver's license with clean driving record.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.Knowledge of ductless systems, heat pumps, and modern HVAC technologies preferred.Ability to lift equipment and work in residential field environments.This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and works closely with both service and installation technicians.We value our team members and offer a strong benefits package including:401(k) retirement plan.Majority of employee health insurance premiums covered.Partial dependent health insurance coverage.Partial disability insurance offerings.13 days of Paid Time Off (PTO).8 paid holidays.At Elmar Heating & Cooling, we believe in building a strong team culture focused on professionalism, technical excellence, and long-term growth.
