Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring manufactured and fabricated components meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and established quality standards. This role performs dimensional inspections, verifies product conformance, documents inspection results, and works closely with production teams to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured and fabricated components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. Verify dimensions, tolerances, and product characteristics using precision measuring equipment. Complete inspection reports, quality records, and other required documentation accurately. Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming materials or products. Assist with corrective actions and root cause investigations related to quality concerns. Collaborate with fabrication, machining, welding, and production personnel to resolve quality issues. Inspect welded assemblies, machined components, formed parts, and fabricated products for compliance with requirements. Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment. Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing quality inspection or quality control. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications. Strong understanding of dimensional inspection techniques and manufacturing tolerances. Experience using precision measurement equipment, including: Calipers Micrometers Tape measures Ability to accurately document inspection results and quality findings. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a metal fabrication, machining, welding, or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
