The present company was formed in 1959 when the Magnethermic Corporation acquired the assets of Ajax Electrothermic Corp. combining their expertise and capabilities.Position Summary: The Test Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical and electromechanical products to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards. This role performs functional testing, diagnostics, and problem resolution on products ranging from subassemblies to fully integrated systems. The position requires strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to safely work with high voltage and current equipment in a manufacturing environment.Job Duties:Perform inspection and functional testing of electrical subassemblies, units, fixtures, and completed systemsTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to the component levelDiagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and determine corrective actionsRepair circuit boards and support product rework activities as neededVerify products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and performance requirementsInterpret blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and technical documentationUse electrical testing equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generatorsWork safely with high voltage and high current systems during testing and inspection processesResolve inspection and testing issues encountered during productionProvide technical troubleshooting support to customers over the phone as neededSupport occasional off-site service or customer support callsMaintain accurate testing documentation and recordsFollow all safety, housekeeping, and quality proceduresWhat you need to be successful:Experience in electrical, electronics, or electromechanical testing/troubleshootingStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical principlesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specificationsExperience using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic toolsComputer proficiency and ability to work with testing documentation and systemsStrong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and make sound technical judgmentsStrong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitudeEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
