Join the Team Bring your attention to detail, food preparation skills, and teamwork to the Delta Center! As a Cold Prep Cook, you will support the Culinary team by preparing fresh ingredients, cold menu items, salads, appetizers, desserts, sauces, dressings, and other cold food items for events throughout the venue. This position plays an important role in ensuring food is prepared safely, presented well, and ready for service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen, staying organized, and being part of a fast-paced event environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Model and promote Levy's Family Values: Nice, Innovative, Passionate, and Inclusive.
• Wash, chop, slice, dice, measure, and prepare fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
• Prepare cold food items such as salads, appetizers, desserts, sauces, dressings, and cold condiments.
• Assemble ingredients and finished products while maintaining proper presentation standards.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and production instructions accurately.
• Properly store ingredients and prepared food items according to food-safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, surfaces, and prep areas as required.
• Assist chefs and Culinary leadership with food preparation and other kitchen tasks as directed.
• Communicate with kitchen team members to support production needs and event timelines.
• Follow all Levy, Delta Center, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Complete additional duties as assigned based on event and business needs

Qualifications and Requirements

• Cold prep, kitchen, culinary, or food production experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of cutting techniques are preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food-preparation standards accurately.
• Good organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with other kitchen team members.
• Basic knowledge of food-safety and sanitation standards is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate weight as needed.
• Ability to work flexible event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit or Food Safety Manager Certificate.
