Director of Data Engineering

Leading the strategy and execution of data engineering and analytics, the full-time Director of Data Engineering will manage the end-to-end data platform and analytics function remotely, ensuring scalable and reliable data solutions while providing hands-on technical leadership and developing a high-performing team. Key responsibilities Owns the data engineering and analytics function, translating business priorities into actionable data roadmaps and driving execution Designs and maintains production data pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance while building AI-driven validation processes Partners with cross-functional teams to establish standards for data architecture, reporting, and analytics, while providing executive-level communication on platform health and outcomes Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related technology roles Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams and delivering measurable business outcomes Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark, with a strong background in data modeling and lakehouse architecture Experience with AI tools and processes, including delegating tasks to AI agents and ensuring data accuracy
