Caregiver PositionThe Caregiver meets community residents' needs by helping with activities of daily living. Responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident's physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.Location: Crestaville | 30111 Niguel Rd, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677Availability: On-Call | 6:30am-2:30pm; 2:30pm-10:30pm; 10:30pm-6:30amPay: $19-$20/hrWhat Will I Do Every Day?Monitor residents' well-being and report any changes in conditionAssist residents with simple requests or find appropriate associate to assistLearn resident preferences to provide exemplary customer serviceSupervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities of daily livingProvide companionship and develop strong resident relationsRespond to emergencies according to policies and proceduresHelp residents with assistive devicesEncourage self-care of residentsDocument care provided to residents consistent with documentation standardsProvide input to the Care Services Director and/or the Resident Care Coordinator/Dementia Care Coordinator to assure that resident individual service plans are currentReview 24 Hour Report and care check lists regularlyMaintain resident confidentiality and privacyPractice standard precautions, infection control, and safe work practicesObserve and monitor residents to provide or assist with documentation regarding resident statusCover the Customer Service desk in the Care Services lobby, if necessaryAnswer telephone according to company policy and standardsSupport, lead, and participate in resident-centered wellness programsResolve resident questions according to set policies and proceduresGreet and direct family members, potential residents, prospects, and other individuals to the appropriate staff contacts in the communityAssist and participate in community special events and marketing eventsAssist residents in meeting their social needs through interaction with staff, family, and other residents including encouraging and reminding residents of wellness programmingAssist in the general upkeep of the community common areasMaintain upkeep of residents' rooms (e.g., making bed, taking out trash, washing dishes)Assist with resident laundry as assignedSupport open and honest communication with and between all associatesWork as part of the team within your department and across the communityMaintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when workingLook for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basisEnsure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately to supervisorSupport continuous improvementAdhere to all regulations, laws, and company standards, including the Associate HandbookUnderstand and support the community sales processPerform other related duties as requiredWhat Will I Need To Be Successful In This Role?Bring a smile to work every dayBe a great team playerHigh school education or GED equivalent preferredNursing assistant course recommendedSpecial Requirements/Certifications I May Need?First Aid certification and CPR, if requiredMust meet State training requirements and/or certificationsNursing Assistant Certification (CNA) is desirableBasic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applicationsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as neededWhat's In It For Me?
