Join Our Team - Occupational Therapist (Rehab Services)
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts. Start time negotiable between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Occasional weekend inpatient rotations to cover acute and swing bed needs. This role includes both outpatient work at the Columbus Wellness Center and inpatient coverage including acute care, swing bed, and senior behavioral health units.
Role overview: The Occupational Therapist will conduct thorough evaluations and create evidence-based, patient-centered OT treatment plans as part of an integrated rehab team. Clinical responsibilities emphasize hand therapy (upper extremity musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions), custom splinting and orthoses fabrication, post-operative rehabilitation, and management of CVA, TBI, Parkinson s disease, and age-related frailty. You will also address cognitive and visual impairments, concussion-related dysfunction, and provide home safety and discharge planning assessments. Collaboration is essential you will work directly with PT, SLP, nursing, physicians, and case management to optimize outcomes.
We welcome therapists experienced in lymphedema management (CLT/MLD/CDT) to apply. Hand therapy credentials (CHT) and lymphedema certification are advantageous. Our facility supports CEUs and specialty certification to help you expand your scope of practice. Program development, quality improvement, and mentorship experience are a plus for those interested in leadership or clinical advancement.
Requirements: current Nebraska OT license, AOTA registration, and preferably one year of clinical experience (new grads encouraged to apply). PAMs (physical agent modalities) competency is required or may be obtained following hire.
