CLINICAL EDUCATOR

General Educator

The General Educator is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for developing and initiating orientation programs for new personnel, coordinating education programs, training and continuing education for all nursing personnel.

Qualifications

Professional/Educational:

  • Registered Nurse with current Illinois License.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required or similar healthcare field.
  • At least 3 years nursing experience which has provided opportunities to refine competencies in nursing practice and apply principles and practice of teaching and supervision.
  • Masters degree in nursing or similar healthcare field preferred.
  • ECW experience preferred
  • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Personal:

  • Maintains good physical and emotional well being.
  • Three or more years assessing, designing, instructing, and evaluating educational programs for adult learners in a clinical setting
  • Proficient writing and communication skills
  • CPR, ACLS & PALS instructor certification recommended.
  • EKG knowledge and interpretation skills, IV knowledge, and venipuncture skills.
  • Is creative, imaginative and receptive to new methodology.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
