Note: This role requires Illinois bar admission (2022 or earlier) and a minimum of 2 years of insurance coverage litigation experience. Job Description Analyze insurance policies, draft comprehensive coverage opinions, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to insurer clients Handle all phases of insurance coverage litigation, from pleadings through trial preparation and resolution Attend and participate in depositions, court appearances, hearings, and mediations Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and legal memoranda to the highest standard Conduct thorough legal research and translate complex findings into clear, persuasive written work product Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and support staff on multi-matter litigation projects Communicate directly with clients, building trust and delivering strategic legal guidance Represent clients in court and before government agencies Negotiate settlements and assist in resolving complex coverage disputes efficiently Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Admitted to practice in Illinois (2022 bar admission or earlier) 2 years of insurance coverage litigation experience; experience representing insurers is strongly preferred Familiarity with commercial general liability (CGL) insurance policies Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage a fast-paced, multi-matter caseload Why You Will Love Working Here This is a firm where talented attorneys are given real work, real clients, and real responsibility - not buried in document review.
