Rn, Registered Nurse Clinic Lead - Mount Pleasant Specialty Orthopedic Surgery

Summary:

Provide administrative support duties to include assisting with department process improvement, back-up to the manager, maintain supplies, coordinate schedules and meetings, and participate in training/in-services for clinical staff.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains daily operations of the clinic.
\ N
• Keeps manager informed of any issues with patients, staff, or physicians that are beyond their comfort level or are questionable.
\ N
• Orders departmental andmedical supplies.
\ N
• Responsible for equipment maintenance/repair.
\ N
• Conscientious of maintaining budget/spending (confers with manager).
\ N
• Monitors quality control standards (immunization logs, waived testing, drug sample logs, equipment sterilization logs, etc.).
\ N
• Resolves less complicated patient, staff, and physician issues.
\ N
• Assists with evaluatingassociate performance and recommends merit increases (manager disciplines).
\ N
• Reports to the manager any associate non-compliance with approved policies.
\ N
• Monitors associate workschedule and PTO requests – maintain appropriate staff coverage.
\ N
• Makes sure NCHD referrals are appropriate.
\ N
• Assesses departmental staffing needs;
  actively participates in resourcing efforts.
\ N
• Follows the CHRISTUS Health guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).

• Maintains strict confidentiality.
\ N
• Uses oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission.

Requirements:

\n
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
\ N
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting
\ N
• Previous healthcare management experience preferred.
\ N
• RN License in state of employment or compact
\ N
• BLS
\n
