Twin Star Equipment is looking to hire for the Installer/Mechanic position. Twin Star Equipment specializes in Palfinger Hook & Cable Lifts, Bridgeport Manufacturing Refuse Bodies, parts for all makes of refuse bodies, Galfab Roll-Off Dumpsters, Omaha Standard Service Bodies, several lines of dump bodies, cranes and crane bodies, lift gates, snow and ice control products, hydraulic front wheel drive systems, and Force America hydraulic systems.

Welder fabricators often start by reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, or design specifications. They need to understand the dimensions, tolerances, and welding symbols to create the intended metal structures. Based on the project requirements, welder fabricators choose the appropriate type and grade of metal for the job. Different metals have varying properties and strengths, so selecting the right material is crucial for the structural integrity of the finished product.

Welder fabricators use various tools and equipment to cut and shape metal components according to the design specifications. Tools like saws, shears, plasma cutters, and lasers are used to precisely shape the metal pieces. Welder fabricators are proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and stick welding. They join metal pieces together by melting the edges and fusing them using the appropriate welding method.

Welder fabricators operate welding equipment such as welding machines, torches, and electrodes. They need to set the right parameters for welding, including voltage, current, and wire feed speed, to ensure strong and clean welds. Fabricators assemble and fit the cut and shaped metal pieces together. This process involves aligning and positioning the components accurately before welding them in place.

Ensuring the quality of welds is crucial for the structural integrity of the finished product. Welder fabricators inspect their work visually and may also use non-destructive testing methods like ultrasonic testing or X-rays to identify potential defects. After welding, welder fabricators grind and smooth the welded joints to achieve a seamless and aesthetically pleasing appearance. They might also perform additional finishing tasks such as polishing or painting.

Welder fabricators often work on custom projects that require creativity and problem-solving skills. They may need to fabricate one-of-a-kind pieces based on client requests and unique design specifications. Pay: Based upon experience anywhere from $18.00 - $28.00. Benefits available the 1st of the month following date of hire. 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
