Massena Transport & Taxi, Inc. is seeking dependable drivers who are available to handle pre-arranged and scheduled transportation outside of our normal operating hours .

This position is designed specifically for scheduled after-hours transportation and is not a traditional full-shift taxi driver position. Drivers will be contacted in advance when scheduled trips are available and will report to work based on the transportation needs that have been arranged.

How the Position Works

When after-hours trips have been scheduled, the assigned driver will:

• Report to Massena Transport at the designated time.
• Receive a list of all pre-arranged trips from office personnel.
• Take possession of the assigned company vehicle, phone, and necessary equipment.
• Complete the scheduled pickups and drop-offs in accordance with the trip information provided.
• Communicate with dispatch or designated management personnel regarding any changes, delays, cancellations, or issues.
• Return the vehicle and company equipment upon completion of the scheduled trips.

Primary Responsibilities

The After-Hours Scheduled Trip Driver is responsible for safely and professionally transporting passengers on trips that have been arranged in advance.

Drivers are expected to:

• Arrive on time and be prepared to begin scheduled transportation as assigned.
• Follow the trip schedule and instructions provided by office personnel.
• Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to every passenger.
• Maintain reasonable pickup and arrival times.
• Assist passengers when appropriate.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and presentable.
• Follow all Massena Transport policies and procedures.
• Immediately report vehicle problems, passenger issues, accidents, or unusual circumstances.
• Accurately complete any required trip documentation.
• Protect company property, passenger information, and confidential trip information.

Schedule & Availability

This is an as-needed, after-hours position based on pre-arranged transportation demand.

There are no guaranteed after-hours trips or guaranteed number of hours . Available work will depend on trips scheduled by customers and transportation programs.

Drivers may provide Massena Transport with their general availability for evenings, early mornings, weekends, or other periods outside normal operating hours. Management will contact available drivers when scheduled transportation needs arise.

Whenever possible, drivers will be provided advance notice of scheduled trips.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Possess a valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and be approved by chief of police after background screening.
• Have a safe and acceptable driving record.
• Be dependable and punctual.
• Have reliable transportation to and from the Massena Transport office.
• Be comfortable working independently.
• Be able to follow a predetermined trip schedule.
• Maintain professional communication with passengers, office personnel, and management.
• Be willing to comply with all company, insurance, and applicable transportation requirements.

Ideal Candidate

This position may be a good fit for someone who wants occasional additional hours without committing to a regular taxi shift , including individuals available during evenings, early mornings, weekends, or other periods when Massena Transport's regular office is closed.

The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, professional, and comfortable receiving an assignment, completing the scheduled transportation independently, and returning when the assigned trips are finished.
