Contract | Days | 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients in a 47-bed unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio on day shift
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting
• Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Philips monitors, and Telemetry
• Float to other Medical Surgical units across campus as needed
• Badge in and out of the facility for every shift; wear Navy Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200+ beds, Level 2 or higher trauma center)
• Travel nursing experience required, unless candidate has extensive experience in a large Level 1 facility
• Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN license (please specify issuing state)
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be considered at a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Surgical Oncology patients
• Familiarity with Telemetry monitoring and Bladder Scanner equipment
• Experience working in high-acuity, high-volume Medical Surgical environments
