Engineer, Security Operations & Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure architectures across cloud environments using zero-trust principles and identity-based access controls.
• Manage threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and remediate risks.
• Lead incident response and use threat intelligence to detect, contain, and prevent cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with global security standards including ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, CIS, OWASP, SOC 2, and CSA.
• Support internal and external security audits by preparing documentation and evidence.
• Develop security automation and architectural improvements that strengthen Collibra’s security posture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information security, security engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and infrastructure as code.
• Experience securing AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response tools.
• Understanding of network security, application security, identity and access management, and encryption practices.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and data science concepts and tools such as SQL and Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent related experience.
• US citizenship and residence on US soil are required because the role supports the US government.
• Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to solve business challenges or streamline workflows.

Benefits

• Base salary range is $116,000–$145,000 per year, with bonus potential and equity for eligible roles.
• Benefits include a monthly Flex Fund stipend, pension/401k plans, health coverage, and time off.
• The position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation.
• The role requires the candidate to be a US citizen residing on US soil.
