Our food production plant is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Lead to manage a small team responsible for maintaining the highest cleanliness standards. This role involves supervising sanitation staff during the night shift, ensuring adherence to SSOP and regulatory requirements, and maintaining chemical safety protocols. The Sanitation Lead plays a critical role in preventing production disruptions by upholding quality and compliance through effective training, workflow oversight, and audit management.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist sanitation employees on assigned night shift
• Oversee daily workflow and assignments for sanitation staff
• Manage sanitation staff performance and provide timely evaluations
• Maintain and update sanitation department procedures and personnel management
• Lead plant and employee sanitation training programs
• Oversee pest management program and report trends to management
• Monitor corrective actions from internal and external audits
• Manage chemical, utensil, cleaning, and container supply inventories
• Close out daily sanitation work orders using MaintainX system
• Use approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces and sanitize equipment
• Coordinate cleaning duties with production and sanitation teams, recommending improvements to plant and equipment design
• Perform end-of-shift equipment shutdowns (compressor and boiler)
• Dispose of waste, sweep, mop floors, and maintain ventilation ducts

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in sanitation supervision
