Job Posting Title AHA BLS Provider Instructor Position Information Hiring Department: School of Nursing Position Open To: All Applicants Weekly Scheduled Hours: 10 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Earliest Start Date: Sep 12, 2025 Position Duration: Expected to Continue Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS Job Details Salary Range: $25/hr Work Shift: BLS Class (4-hrs): Friday: 1:30pm - 5:30pm, 4:00pm - 8:00pm BLS and HeartSaver First Aid Class (6-hrs): Tuesday or Thursday: 8:30am - 1:30pm Some weekends – Mainly Saturdays from 9am - 1pm (2-4hrs) Responsibilities Attend UTSON BLS Instructor Candidate Training. Set up equipment, prepare classroom, and teach materials to students according to the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and Instructor Manual. Facilitate course agendas, manage a classroom, provide feedback, and administer exams to students. Maintain UT Box CPR/One Drive folder and replenish course forms. Update CPR spreadsheet data entry. Transport equipment and supplies to offsite locations per requests, if applicable. Required Qualifications 18 years of age with some healthcare experience. Must have a current BLS certification through AHA. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, technical and organization skills.
