YOUR ROLE AS A TAZIKI’S SHIFT LEADER Serving guests, making meaningful connections with them Opening & closing tasks Being responsible for the restaurant and the team working when a manager isn’t on duty Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties Mastering menu and product knowledge Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included) Prepping food and doing side work Following proper cash handling and payment procedures Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures Proper food handling and storage of food products Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform and appearance THE IDEAL TEAM MEMBER Must be at least 19 years of age Prior food service experience preferred Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests / team members Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the policies and procedures Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food Work flexible schedule Dependable, reliable and trustworthy Open to being coached Must be comfortable running shifts solo as manager on duty with the ability to open and/or close the store without supervision Must be good with money ALL EMPLOYEES MUST Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook) Obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment Become well versed in all aspects of the restaurant Be comfortable and possess strong customer engagements and interactions Be comfortable with and mastering the point of sale (POS) system for guests' orders YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS/HOURS Morning shift - 7am - 4pm Evenings - 2pm - 10pm Weekend availability Holiday availability - when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas) Hours will vary by store. You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and chargrill, oven, slicer, mixer and food processor.
