Entry-Level Machine Operator – Up to $21/Hour
Wilmington, NC | Full-Time | No Manufacturing Experience Required
Ready to build a long-term career in manufacturing? Employment Solutions is hiring Entry-Level Machine Operators for a large, established manufacturing facility in Wilmington, NC.
No previous machine operating experience is required. You’ll receive on-the-job training, learn multiple production positions, and gain valuable manufacturing experience with opportunities for long-term growth.
Pay- Day Shift: $20 per hour
- Night Shift: $21 per hour
Work three days, then enjoy three days off!
- 12-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Three days on and three days off
- Rotates between day and night shift monthly
- Built-in weekdays off for appointments, errands, and personal time
Each shift includes:
- Four paid 20-minute breaks
- One 30-minute lunch break
You’ll work as part of a production team manufacturing engineered wood products. Employees rotate between different stations, helping make the workday more varied while providing experience in multiple areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring materials moving along the production line
- Inspecting veneer sheets and removing damaged materials
- Replacing defective sheets with quality materials
- Operating basic machine controls after training
- Clearing minor jams and maintaining steady production flow
- Feeding, stacking, and sorting materials
- Supporting the primary machine operator
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- No previous manufacturing experience required
- Ability to work a rotating day and night schedule
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, and occasionally lift materials above shoulder height
- Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled facility
Most veneer sheets weigh approximately 9–12 pounds.
Candidates must complete a pre-employment physical exam, which will be coordinated by the employer.
