Opportunity:

Surgery

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients working closely with physicians and healthcare teams
• Full time coverage starting in September (4 weeks per month, Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• Robotics experience required
• Opportunity for 1-2 weekend calls per month (Friday 5:00 PM-Monday 7:00 AM with Saturday-Sunday rounds 8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
• Opportunity for weeknight call 4 shifts per month (5:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Perform surgical first assist duties including cauterizing wounds and vessels, packing sponges, positioning patients, placing clamps and sutures
• Close skin with adhesives, sutures, or staples and apply direct pressure on veins and tissue
• Assist with patient suction, drainage, irrigation, and hemostasis procedures
• Provide surgical floor coverage including rounding, progress notes, managing orders, discharges, and consults
• Work primarily with General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients
• Manage patients with acute medical conditions with patient ratios of 1:10-15
• Utilize EPIC charting system and automated medication dispensing
• Minimum 2 years recent experience required
• Must be board certified with NY state license and EPIC experience
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
