Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities Designing low and medium voltage power systems. Designing lighting systems and associated controls. Designing fire alarm and mass notification systems. Preparing construction plans and specifications for electrical systems. Developing probable construction costs. Providing construction administration and site visits. Mentoring less experienced engineers and designers. Serving as project manager and/or project engineer on complex electrical projects. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university. At least 12 years of relevant electrical experience. PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states. Ideal Candidate 25 years or more of relevant experience as electrical engineer. Project manager experience with managing multiple projects, major project scopes, or multi‑discipline projects. Experience with developing market leads, pricing, estimating, and scoping for proposed projects. Experience with development of project budgeting, resource allocation, and project scheduling. Designing low and medium voltage power, lighting systems and controls, fire alarm and detection systems. Preparing construction document drawings using Revit. Designing electrical systems using power design software (EasyPower preferred). Using lighting calculations software (AGI32 preferred). Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications. Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems. Experience or familiarity with generative AI‑driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.
