Produce Clerk Part Time

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a Produce Team Member to sort, display, remove, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. Responsibilities Provide assistance to members in the produce department; answer questions and recommend products. Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery; ensure all received produce meets or exceeds company standards. Rotate produce on the sales floor to maintain optimal freshness and variety. Stock cases and display areas fully; keep displays neat and clean; remove unsellable items. Maintain the produce reserve stock area; date and rotate all back stock items, keeping the storage area organized and condensed daily. Dispose of damaged, spoiled, or expired products following established guidelines. Assist the Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed. Clean and sanitize all produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas, including the cooler and refrigerated display cases. Generate signage for produce goods and perform price checks; ensure accurate pricing and signage. Maintain all club policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned, including work in other departments as needed. Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance. Qualifications Preferable work experience in a produce department. Knowledge of fruit and vegetables, including seasonal items. Minimum age 18 years. Environmental Job Conditions Frequent movement on hard surfaces; bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. Often lifts objects up to 30 pounds; may require lifting heavier items with assistance. Work in a comfortable indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers. Benefits Weekly Pay: get paid every week.
