Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a critical care setting, specifically focusing on the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Schedule
- Day/Night shifts available: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30 or 19:00 - 07:30)
- Every other weekend and some holiday work required
- 4x12 hour shifts or a Friday to Sunday block schedule may be considered
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the ICU and IMC populations
- Monitor and assess patient progress, implementing appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using the Epic system
- Valid RN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory, obtained through AHA only
- ICU experience is required; Neurosurgery experience is preferred
- Proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system is necessary
- The candidate must be able to pass a Telemetry test before starting
