- Preparation & Blasting: Clean and prepare parts for powder coating applications by sanding, priming, and sandblasting in the blast room.
- Paint Application: Apply high-quality powder coat to parts using a hand-held Wagner powder sprayer.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate a semi-automated wash bay, a digital curing oven, and the spray booth.
- Setup & Maintenance: Perform timely color changes and booth setups. Clean and maintain the spray booth, blast room, and preparation areas.
- Material Handling: Transport finished and unfinished products safely to and from the work area using a forklift.
- Safety & Quality: Adhere to all safety guidelines (including wearing personal safety gear/respirators) and maintain rigid quality standards.
- Experience: Proven experience with powder paint application techniques, Wagner spray equipment, and curing oven operations.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and blueprints.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a basic mathematics assessment.
- License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Soft Skills: A strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and maintain constant hand/eye coordination and balance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively/frequently
- Comfort working frequently in a high-heat environment.
- Comfort wearing a respirator
- Occasional contact with solvents (requiring specific PPE and safety labeling).
