VP, Television Development & Production

Your New Role The VP, TV Development & Production for Alloy Entertainment is responsible for the development of material for television & streaming series, overseeing pilots and series, staffing and current programming. The VP serves as an interface with the studio and agencies and will travel to production to cover shows. Your Role Accountabilities Identifies Alloy properties as well as outside material to be adapted, developed, pitched and sold to television networks and streaming platforms. Finds writers for series development, staffing and streaming development projects. Works closely with writers to develop pitches, write outlines and provide story and script notes. Oversees production of pilots and series. Performs additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Work Experience Minimum 8+ years relevant work experience. Minimum 2 years director experience in development at a studio, network, streamer or production company. Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree in related field strongly preferred. Knowledge / Skills Knowledge of feature films and/or television (past and present). Pop culture and social media awareness. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Strong critical thinking and persuasion skills. Knowledge of story structure. Strong background in creative analysis, script reading and providing notes. Ability to generate creative ideas for projects. Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style. Production/on set experience preferred. Other Requirements Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to multi‑task, organize and schedule work effectively. Must be detail‑oriented. Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, if and when necessary. Must have experience staffing a series. Must have production experience. Pay Range Base pay is $161,000.00 – $299,000.00 per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑term and long‑term incentives and program‑specific awards.
