Position Details Position Number 8102883 Work Modality Fully In-Person New Position Request No Job Category University Staff Job Type Full-Time FLSA Status Non-Exempt Campus Rogers Park-Lake Shore Campus & Hybrid ABSN Program-Downers Grove, IL Site Department Name CENTER FOR SIMULATION EDUC Location Code CENTER FOR SIM (02404A) Grant Funded No Essential Duties and Responsibilities Runs simulations at the Lakeshore campus (LSC) Conducts Interprofessional Simulations and occupies for simulations running at the Health Sciences Campus Creates, maintains, and revises supply list for all simulations Develops and maintains a system to inventory all supplies and equipment Creates, maintains, and revises supply list for GNUR 238 skills lab lessons Collaborates with simulation educators on the development and revisions of simulation scenario scripts related to supply needs and technological recommendations Prepares simulation rooms and lab areas for scheduled educational sessions daily Assists in the collection of student evaluation data Manages simulation mannequin equipment Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning mannequins used for simulation and skills lab sessions; contacts mannequin IT support as necessary Troubleshoots and repairs AV software as necessary; contacts AV software IT support as necessary Updates mannequin software as necessary Facilitates installation of new equipment and maintenance of current technology through collaborations with other LUC departments Develops and maintains a system for tracking hours‑of‑use for each mannequin Performs preventive maintenance on mannequins and lab equipment Develops and maintains a system of organization for storing supplies within the simulation center Provides orientation sessions and tours of the simulation lab Provides training to simulation educators on use of mannequins and computer software Completes closeout of prior academic year and prepares for upcoming academic year; revises scenarios, updates programming of mannequins and simulation software; updates binders and files Assists with data collection, data entry, and the management of records related to the simulation lab research activities Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Associate’s degree required (Medical/allied health, computer or technical field). Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum Experience 1–2 years of job‑related experience required; 3–5 years preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred; Medical/allied health, computer science or technical field 1–2 years of job‑related experience required, 3–5 years preferred Nursing education simulation experience preferred Medical background (EMT, RT) preferred Working knowledge of medical simulation technologies and devices (such as Laerdal, Gaumand, METI) Experience using standard medical equipment (IV pumps, ventilators, hospital beds) Knowledge of AV systems Knowledge of or the ability to learn how to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot human patient simulations and medical equipment Required Skills Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Strong time management skills, ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team Computer Skills Proficiency with PC and Mac‑based hardware and software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Supervisory Responsibilities No Required operation of university owned vehicles No Direct Animal or Patient Contact No Physical Demands Lifting, Carrying, Standing, Crawling/Kneeling Working Conditions Irregular Hours Open Date 06/23/2026 Close Date — Position Salary Maximum: $28.84/hr; Minimum: $28.84/hr Equal Opportunity Employer Loyola adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local civil rights laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination in private institutions of higher education.
