Registered Dental Hygienist

Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and patient safety Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, documenting treatments, assessments, and patient interactions Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures aligned with healthcare standards such as HIPAA compliance Support the dental team with equipment sterilization, maintenance of dental tools, and preparation of treatment areas to ensure a safe environment for all Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials to practice legally Proven experience in dental office settings, including familiarity with dental equipment and clinical procedures Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach toward pediatric dentistry patients when applicable Join our dynamic team where your skills will be valued!
