Job Description Minimum 1+ years special education experience required. Intervention Specialist Location: Newark, OH Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring goals are tailored to their unique learning styles and abilities. Provide direct instruction to students in small groups or one‑on‑one settings, focusing on academic subjects and essential life skills. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create a cohesive support network for students. Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and adjust instructional strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes. Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior, adhering to confidentiality guidelines. Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes inclusivity, respect, and academic growth. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred). Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license (or eligibility to obtain licensure). Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
