A successful Director should be known by members, available to answer questions, willing to demonstrate an exercise, ready to lead a class, and attentive to the person who may be taking their first step toward a healthier life.
The YMCA's goal is not simply to operate a fitness facility. It is to change lives through relationships, encouragement, expertise, and community. The Health & Wellness Director plays a critical role in making that happen every day.
Physical Demands:
Ability to effectively plan and lead classes and activities related to fitness.
Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting voice distance in normal and loud situations.
Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
