As a Medication Technician at The Heritage at Twin Creeks, you will play an important role in supporting the health, safety, and overall well-being of our residents. You will work alongside the nursing and caregiving teams to ensure medications are handled appropriately and residents receive the care and support they deserve.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Medication Administration: Assist with the safe and accurate administration or assistance with medications in accordance with applicable regulations, facility policies, and physician orders.

• Medication Pass: Complete scheduled medication passes in a timely, organized, and resident-centered manner.

• Medication Documentation / eMAR: Accurately document medication administration, refusals, omissions, and other required information in the electronic medication administration record (eMAR).

• Resident Care & ADLs: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, and other needs within your assigned responsibilities.

• Resident Monitoring: Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, or response to medications and promptly report concerns to the appropriate nurse or supervisor.

• Communication: Maintain clear communication with the nursing team and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs, medication concerns, and changes in condition.

• Medication Safety: Follow proper medication storage, handling, and safety procedures in accordance with facility policies.

• Compassionate Care: Treat every resident with dignity, respect, patience, and kindness while supporting their independence and comfort.

• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality care.

We are seeking a PRN Medication Technician who is available to work various shifts based on staffing needs and availability.

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

PRN scheduling will be based on facility needs and employee availability. Flexibility to work different shifts is preferred.

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to resident safety, medication accuracy, and compassionate care.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Previous medication technician, assisted living, or healthcare experience preferred.

• Any medication aide or medication technician credentials, training, or authorization required by applicable state regulations and facility policies.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow medication procedures accurately.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to serve senior residents.

• The ability to recognize and report changes in residents' condition.

• The ability to assist with resident ADLs within assigned responsibilities.

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to resident safety.

• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete required documentation.

Candidates must meet all applicable state and facility requirements for medication administration or assistance with medications.
