Please know that only the candidates who meet the minimum qualifications can be considered, and only those selected for interviews will be contacted by a WMCHC representative.Location: Lake Como, PAEmployment Type: Full-TimeWhat you will do as a WMCHC Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant:Patient Care: Conduct complete, detailed, and accurate medical histories and physical examinations for walk-in patientsDiagnosis & Treatment: Formulate appropriate diagnoses and develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the scope of practice and established protocols.Diagnostics: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, as needed.Procedures: Perform minor in-office procedures, as neededDocumentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records using our integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (eClinicalWorks)Education & Counseling: Provide comprehensive health education and guidance to patients and families regarding preventative health, treatment plans, and side effects.Collaboration: Consult with supervising physicians on patient care and administrative issues, collaborating regularly with nursing and medical staff to ensure quality care.Quality Improvement: Actively participate in patient safety and quality improvement processes.Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department.Minimum Qualifications:Current, active, and unrestricted licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.National certification as an Advanced Practice Provider.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.Minimum 1-2 years of experience in walk in or family medicine requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make independent, decisive judgments.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to excellent customer service and compassionate care.Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findingsAbility to maintain quality control standards and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situationsAbility to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and to communicate clearlyBenefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive Medical, Dental, VisionLife InsuranceShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Company-Matched 403 (b) Retirement PlanCME allowanceMalpractice insurance coverage (FTCA) #J-18808-Ljbffr Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers
