Dental One Associates at Belair is looking for a Dental Assistant in Abingdon, Maryland to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Position Overview As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of the care team, providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay $27–$32 Full time: Monday through Thursday from 7:45 am to 5 pm and Friday from 7:45 am to 3 pm Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability benefits 401(k) plan Support for continuing education and professional development Modern office with advanced dental technology Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures. Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care. Take and develop X‑rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models. Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed). Help dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. Qualifications Completion of a one‑year certified dental assistant program. X‑Ray certification – Required. Expanded Duties Dental Assistant – Required. High school diploma or equivalent.
